Auto Zone does not sell shift solenoids, nor does Pep Boys. I've been looking for the past 2 days and every place sells the solenoid for the other tranny made in 1998 and not the a650. The after market piece does not fit.

Then please check the first link i have given .. In my knowledge they do sell

My 01 Tahoe is not shifting to over drive slow shifting to 1st 2nd 2nd 3rd

Most likely you have a bad shift solenoid. You can purchase the whole solenoid and internal wiring cheap. The job it easy, cheap, and straight forward... There are tons of "how to" videos on YouTube if you feel you need guidance. Great for references as well.

Goes into drive and moves no problem, but wont shift through the gears do I need new shift solenoids

if it won't upshift then your trans is shot...if it won't downshift, then you need new shift solenoids

I have 1998 volkswagon jetta with the check engine code P0758

P0758 Volkswagen - Shift Solenoid 'B' Electrical

Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Faulty shift solenoid 'B' valve
- Shift solenoid 'B' valve harness or connectors
- Shift solenoid 'B' valve circuit is open or shorted

Worst possible scenario is that the Transmission Control Module has noticed the solenoid is either taking too much current (a short circuit) or too little current (an open circuit). The problem could be in a few different places: wiring between the TCM and the tranny, wiring internal to the tranny, the TCM has gone bad, or the solenoid itself. You can narrow this down by checking the resistance of the solenoid coils at the TCM connector, then at the tranny connector on the tranny.
Good luck, the mark 3 transmission is notoriously finicky.

1994 lexus 300 will not shift but will shift if i manually shift

If the transmission "brain" in modern cars senses problems it can keep the tranny from shifting. Usually leaves you in second gear as a safety and warning indication. I don't now if that year lexus had this ability but getting it checked on a diagnostic computer that read transmission codes should shed some light on your situation.

Automatic transmission feels like it is in 3rd gear pulling out

Your trans is going into limp mode and that is why it is starting out in a higher gear. With the o/d light flashing there is a problem.Try this disconnect the battery for 5 min then start the car, before you do anything cycle the o/d button and see if it starts flashing. If it does then there is somekind of electrical problem.Could be bad wire or bad solenoid. If not drive it and start out with o/d off in low and shift manually through the gears and see if they are all there when you need to get in fourth hit the o/d button to shift and see if it does. They should also be able to get a code for the flashihg light to try to pin point.Hope this helps and thank for using fixya
