1996 T-10 Blazer... fuse was blown for my tailgate, same fuse for cigarette lighter. Tech at dealership got inside kicked & kicked, ordered new part. I went home, changed the fuse, fixed the problem... ALWAYS START WITH THE BASICS

The problem is with the endgate switch thats what chevey calls it. Its likely the endgate jamb switch is the problem. Its like any other light switch on any other door execpet it also controls the rear window latch Have fixya tell you whaty to do there real smart ask for lauren chang shes real smart

There is a manaul over ride inside the cargo area for the rear window release. You need to peel the carpet a little to expose the hole in the center of the endgate near the top . there will be a hole take a streight head screw driver insurt it into the slot and turn to the left this release the window latch then you will be able to open the endgate by useing the latch you would use normaly You have other problems with the system the light is what is feeding that latch you need to find what else dosn't work before anyone can help you like the rear wiper and the electreic window deicer and anything related to that area pertaining to the lighting system

Does the 2019 explorer sport back hatch window open and how do I do that.

Yes, the 2019 Ford Explorer Sport has a power liftgate that includes a rear hatch window that can be opened independently from the liftgate.
To open the rear hatch window, press the button on the key fob twice within three seconds, or press the button located on the liftgate handle twice. Alternatively, you can also use the interior switch located on the overhead console to open or close the rear hatch window.

2005 GMC BACK HATCH WON'T OPEN

It sounds like the lock actuator has failed or has a poor connection which won't allow the latch to release. What you will need to do is remove the inside rear hatch panel to access the lock actuator. Once you get to the latch use a flat screwdriver to release the latch being careful not to damage the glass.

My rear hatch light indicates that the hatch is open which it is closed tight. Because of this my interior lights stay on and my remote start won't work. How can I fix this? My jeep is the 2009...

The switch on the latch is more then likely stuck. If you can see it spray it with some electrical cleaner and open and shut the hatch a few times.

2010 Hyundai Santa Fe Rear Hatch Won't Open. I already opened up the interior panel and trigger mechanisms are working fine. I think the latch itself is stuck, probably because I had my back window...

I'd love to know how this turned out as have the same problem with 2009 Santa Fe now.
Broken rear window has been removed but cant open the hatch.
I have removed the internal liner and all the lever rods are attached. A bit of glass inside the door and I have tried banging on the door to unblock it. Squirted CRC in the area and will leave until daylight and have another go.

Battery died now power sliding doors and rear hatch not operating

1) Unlock all doors from driver's door while it is open. The driver's door is the only door to remain open during this process! 2) Turn the key from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. All the doors will lock and unlock if program is successful. 3) Turn key OFF and remove key from ignition. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the remote. (Press sliding door or rear hatch and it will open!) 4) If door locks do not respond, wait several seconds and press button again. If doors still fail to respond, try repeating steps (1-3).
