The blower for the heater and A/C stopped working. Last week we did have service for a recall relating to the ignition. Could that have something to do with the blower not working now? Could this be a fuse related problem? Do you know the fuses are?

Heater was working off and on last week, was needed to add water to radiator. Couldn't find where it was leaking, now this week heater blower won't come on... help me please

Probably 2 separate problems, try this turn on the ignition switch turn the blower on high then tap on the blower motor with a hammer if it runs replace the motor, if not check for current at the blower motor plug, if yes replace the motor if no locate the blower motor resistor check for voltage using a test light, if the light lights replace the resistor, if no lite go to the blower switch if no lite there??? Think again about the fuses you checked. I hope this helps, take care.

Why does my GMC Canyon 2008 Blower fan only works on 2?

I had a problem on my 2006 sierra, the fan wouldn't work on 5. gm had a curtisy recall, they had to replace a resistor, at no charge, last week. Ask your dealer about any recall for this with your vehicle.

I have a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Last week, the rear blower stopped working and the brake lights no longer function. All other lights work. The front blower works just fine. All fuses are...

The rear blower and the brake lights might not be related troble. The rear blower has a ballast resistor that can fail and it's next to the blower motor in the rear heater housing. The blower motors are also known to go bad so wrapping on it with it turned on might( wake it up) and it'll start woring again as a poor connection shaken or the worn motors brushes shaken down where they make connection again. Then you say the rest of the lights work do you mean that the brake light bulbs come on with the hazard swich entergized? or do the rear lights just light yellow turn lights only? I'd check or even replace the brake light buld=bs before I'd do anything else.their are other things that don't work if the fuses were involved and the same goes for the heater rear blower as the front blower uses the same fuse.

1999 mercury cougar. 3 of my 4 blower settings for a/c stopped working 6 weeks ago and today the 4th went out. i had the blower test and is fine. I replaced the blower resistor and blower switch and still...

Make sure you contact a Mercury Dealer or Ford Dealer and run your vehicle ID number to see if it has a recall on the blower switch. I worked for Ford for years and I think I remember that vehicle having a blower switch and or relay recall. Some of these recalls did not expire and if that is the case it would not cost you anything to have this done. Good luck, hope this helped

Blower for AC/Heater stopped working

if you can reach the blower motor, it could be a worn out carbon brush of the blower motor. if they are, buy a set of carbon brush, learn how to replace them and it would be back running in no time. by the way, when you pull out the carbon brush holder, make sure you dont interchange the position. you can put them back wards and what would happen is the rotation will be reversed. either you reversed the carbon brush holder or just simply interchange the wires that are coming to the motor. i hope i was able to help...
