Crossfire misfire 4/5 - Crossfire Chrysler Cars & Trucks

You need a tune up.

P0113 is Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input, Internally failed IAT sensor Faulty connection at IAT sensor Open in IAT ground circuit or signal circuit Short to voltage in IAT signal circuit or reference circuit IAT harness and/or wiring routed too close to high-voltage wiring (e.g. alternator, spark plug cables, etc.) Faulty PCM (less likely but not impossible)

P0172 is Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 1, Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

P0304 is Cylinder # 4 Misfire, Known Failure Points:
1. Plugs- specifically Bosch Platinum plugs tend to self-destruct
2. Ignition Control Module- Kinda a "go" or "no-go" type thing. When it fails, you most likely won't be able to start your car.
3. Coil Pack Housing (usually white, some aftermarket are black) - Seems like an unlikely part to go, but from what I hear the plastic can breakdown and cause crossfiring.
4. Coil Pack- Haven't had a bad one yet, but it's entirely possible.
5. Plug Boots- If they're old, they might dry out and crack due to the high heat they are exposed to. Again, not very likely, but when all else fails.

probably something to do with the amplifier/fuses

You probably connected the wrong spark plug wire to the wrong spark plug. You'll have to find the firing order and check your wires. I can't help you with that because you didn't indicate what kind of truck and engine you have.

check to see if engine needs a tune up. take the plugs out one by one..how do they look? what about the dist cap, is it corroded inside or showing black track marks? are the plugs wires burned? these things will give you an inside look on how your engine is performing.be here till 330am if you need help. thanks

Distributor cap has crack in it causing crossfiring or sparkplugs need replacing due to worn electrodes

When a headlight burns out on your Chrysler Crossfire, you do not need to rush to the repair shop to have it replaced. You can access the headlights in your Crossfire from within the engine compartment, allowing you to change the headlight yourself. The Crossfire uses an H7U headlight bulb, which you can find at auto parts retail stores or at a Chrysler dealership.
Difficulty: Easy

1. 1 Open the hood of your Crossfire to gain access to the headlight assemblies. Press down on the tab on top of the light assembly cover. Remove the cover and set it aside.
   
2. 2 Pull the electrical connection free of the bulb socket. Press the spring clamps securing the bulb into the light assembly. Pull the bulb straight out of position.
   
3. 3 Insert the new bulb in the same position. Ensure that the spring clamps secure the bulb. Press the electrical connection into place.
   
4. 4 Replace the light assembly cover and press it into position until it clicks, securing it in place. Repeat the same process on the opposite headlight if required. Close the hood and test the headlight operation.
   

Try the distributor cap and rotor. The cap is able to crossfire internally without showing any marks externally.

Do not dress the spark plug wires to make them look pretty. The spark plug wires on must cross each other at right angles every place they cross. They cannot be run side by side, or the engine will crossfire.
