The fault is gone. What ever caused the problem is no longer there.
When the computer no longer detect fault it shuts off light. Maybe transmission had a short time problem
Your "check engine" light is an emission light. Oil is fine. You have to find the code to check whats wrong. Usually an engine light is just a tiny problem, but in other cases it could be anything from a sensor, to a bad cat converter. With a check engine light on a vehicle will not pass smog tests. You can turn it off by unhooking your pos side to the battery for about 3 min. Then you will have to drive it 30 miles non stop for the computer to put the code back in and the light will come back on
No fuses control those lights, and while I'd ignore the service engine, check engine suggests something is wrong and should not be ignored! You could buy yourself a nanocom or similar and reset your service light and read the fault code to tell if the check engine is an intermittent error or something potentially more serious!
Sounds like an intermittend problem. Once the engine light comes on, the computor stores a code in it and can be retrieved whether the light is on or not, called a pending code, I have done it plenty of times.I would take the car back, or to another dealer and tell them to hook up a code scanner to it.It's under warranty, they should do further testing.
Once the warranty runs out, you are on your own, you pay for what ever is wrong, and can be expensive.
Nita0605 you should have included a little more infomation. Does the car drive any different when the light is on? Most likely you have a trouble code P0325.........Knock sensor fault or O2 sensor problem. I wouldn't worry about it until the light stays on
