Ive got an '07 Silverado whose driver side heated seats seem to turn on and off at random intervals. Sometimes full heat, sometimes partial. Sometimes for long periods, sometimes only for seconds? There does not seem to be any pattern to it all. Anyone have any ideas? Switchboard? Relay? Short? Im all out of ideas.

Trying to fix a problem like this blindly never work's . Reviewing service repair information on how it works and looking at wiring diagrams to see what all is involed in the electrical circuit an seeing if the system can set DTC'S diagnostic trouble code's . Most assuredly there is an electronic control module involved . Taking your vehicle to a qualifed repair shop an having it fix correctly the first time is what you should do . This system can set a number of Diagnostic trouble code's , an auto zone , advance etc... can not read these code's
DTC B1925 or B2170
DTC B1935 or B2180
DTC B2345
DTC B2425 or B2430
DTC B2435 or B2440
DTC B2508 or B2509
DTC B2508 01: Seat Heater Relay Circuit Short to Battery
DTC B2508 02: Seat Heater Relay Circuit Short to Ground
Without a diagnostic flow chart an not knowing how to diagnose electrical system problem's ,your chance of fixing this is about 0

I cant give you a precise location, but it will be underneath the seat, probably to one side. It should have a connector that can be disconnected.

There are seperate blowers for the front and rear air. It is most likely either your blower motor or the resistor, both located under the passenger side dash. I got a blower from a salvage yard for $25, But ended up having to get the resister from the dealership for about $130. Hope this helps.

A bad electric connector is possible. A bad tank sending unit can cause the same symptom. Usually the sending unit is a reostat mounted inside the tank.. it changes resistance depending on the float position, the resistance change causes a different voltage to the gauge or signal processor. The reostat may be a resistive plastic strip, as the float moves a contact pointer wipes the length of strip thus the change in resistance and voltage. Clear as mud?

There is a service bulletin for this concern from GM.What you will have to do is go to the dealership and they will reprogram the drivers seat module. It should only take a 1/2 hour. The bulletin number is 05-08-50-008.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Heated, power seats not working

Check wiring under the seat. Frequent habit of pushing things under the seat such as flashlights and tools etc and moving the seat forward and back sometimes pulls wires or breaks them.

You will need to replace your driver side temp actuator. It is most likely sticking or over travelling. It is located under the dash directly below the a/c control head. It is bolted to the a/c box upside down with two small bolts. Let me know if i can help more.

HEATER CONTROL BLOWS COLD ON RIGHT SIDE & HOT ON THE LEFT. WHEN I TURN ON THE HEATER I TURN THE PASSENGERS SIDE TO FULL HEAT & I GET FULL COLD; AS FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE ALL IS FINE AND DANDY.

your pass side blend door actuator is stuck. sometimes unhooking battery for a few minutes will allow them to reset. cut on heat then unhook when you hook back up and start vehicle the actuators will relearn themselves meaning they will move from one end to the other. if this does not work it will need to be replaced
