How can I get a free manual to change the inside passenger door handle on my 2002 Toyota Corolla (the part that opens the door from the inside - not the part you hold to open or close the door).

It has kid locks on edge of door. Open door and look along edge of door for a small sliding lever. Good luck.

Actually, I suggest going to a junk-yard to get your parts. It will be much more expensive to get at your dealership or bodyshop, plus the huge huge huge labor fee. If you want to invest a few minutes to save yourself some time, look to see what other vehicles use the same door handle yours does, (it will be a toyota).

Replace window regulator and motor. Procedure: Remove inside door panel, cut regulator wires, raise window manually and hold in place, undo bolts holding window glass to regulator, undo bolts holding regulator to door-frame, remove regulator. Reverse to install.

get a manual from the library or parts store; usually a couple of nuts on the inside of the handle. Doable but frustrating.

It's probably broken, or unhooked. Just take your inner door panel off, and you'll soon figure out what's happening. Sometimes the rods get bent, or they come off the clip, or just need adjusting. And sometimes the handle itself is broken, but you can do it!
