Where is the blower motor relay on the 1994 Ford Econoline. The fan is going one speed - SLOW. I replaced the blower motor, because it was squealing, but that never solved the problem. I'm thinking it's the switch or relay. This van has A/C

On your vehicle, if it works on low speed, that eliminates the fuse, the blower motor relay and the blower motor resistor. All of the parts of the resistor must bee good for it to work on low. The relay supplies power to the motor and the controls provide the ground, so if the motor runs at all, it is not the relay or the fuse. The only thing left is the switch. Fords are bad about burning the wire connector that conects to the switch. You will most likely have to replace the switch and the connector. Both of these parts are widely avaiable at most aftermarket parts stores.

Well you got the diagnostic dead on. your blower motor relay is located on the evaporator box and is the plug near the blower motor.

That would be the blower motor resistor, not the blower relay.

  • Anonymous Jan 16, 2011

The blower relay is mounted at the rear of the engine compartment in the left fender area, near the Ignition Control Module.

yes you are correct. i meant to say resistor and that's why i listed the location as on the evap box. thank you for clarifying.

Where is the Blower motor relay on a 2002 Ford Econoline E150, and how do you change it so both the front and rear blower motors work on all 3 speeds?

There would be two relay's , one for front an one for the back . And the relay would be for high speed only . And it just so happens there are two AUX blower motor relay's .
Auxiliary Blower Motor Relay C403
Left rear corner of vehicle, above wheelwell
Auxiliary High Blower Motor Relay C404
Left rear corner of vehicle, above wheelwell

Front blower motor relay - K73 top left , Six relay's at top left .

No high speed on fan for heat and air

Replace your high speed cooling fan relay with a known working relay (rear window defrost for instance) and see if the fans turn on while the air is on high. If so, you need a new relay. You can also look into the fuse that protects the relay circut.

Blower motor relay 1995 Ford econoline

Relays Blower Motor Relay(s)
The blower motor relay is located in the relay panel on the left front fender apron (16054). When the blower motor circuit is energized, the contact within the relay closes to complete the circuit for blower motor operation.

Blower Fan not working

Could be a fuse or a relay, they are usually under the hood in the "Fuse/Relay box". The exact location should be indicated in the box cover and/or the owner's manual of the van. To try the relay, most of the relays in that box are the same, you can try switching it with another one and see if it works. But, i suspect a possible bad blower fan motor, they seem to go quite often on Econoline vans. They are a pretty simple item to replace, located under the hood on the passenger side, on the firewall. To diagnose for a bad motor, unplug the plugin on the motor, and with the key on, heater control to max, use a test light or a multimeter to check for power and ground at the plugin. Another thing, is the fan not working on all speeds, or is it working on max speed, the reason for my question is, if it's only working on max, the resistor (used for lower speeds) is probably bad. It is located close to the motor in the airbox on the passenger side of the firewall.
