I got an 06 hyundai tiburon, and the key doesnt work on the trunk, and the switch from inside the cabin doesnt work either. i've tried pulling on the trunk, nothing happens. i've take off the panel from the inside, and i can see the switch triggering, but it seems jammed? how in the world can i open this?

I had this problem for awhile too, one day the automatic opener just quit working. My friend fixed it for me. Turns out there's a little lever mechanism on the trunk door, right by the license plate where the locking mechanism is (look up when the trunk is open)... try flipping it and see if the opener will work then. It fixed my problem at least.

you need to have the code pulled from the computer to know were to start to diagnose the problem.when the check engine light comes on there is a code in the pcm.

you have a blown cabin fuse check each fuse and replace with fuse of coisponding ampage

does the steering wheel lock, does the tranny lock??? try working the steering wheel quickly back and forth, and or jiggling the shifter...good luck

The cabin filter is located behind the glove box.

Remove the three screws along the bottom edge of the glove box door.

Open the glove box door and remove the three screws along the top edge just inside where the door closes.

Pull the glove box assembly out and you will see the cabin filter cover behind it. It is a (approx.) 1.5"x10" plastic plate that snaps out.

Remove the cabin filter cover and slide the old filter out, noting the orientation. Install the new filter in the same orientation then reassemble the vehicle.

The solution is to pull out the back seat to get into the trunk. There are two bolts holding the bottom part of back seat (bolts located between bottom and top sections). Then pull out bottom section of back seat and you see the hinge for the top section, remove the bolts and then you can lift up and access the trunk. It's not that hard.

I'm not sure where its location is for this car but typically they are located in a couple different locations. Try on the drivers side access panel in the trunk. You may have to remove or pull the panel aside. Some other vehicles have them in the front passenger side kick panel.
