2004 Kia Amanti

When the power seats are used, they blow the fuse under the hood. I have replaced several of these fuses. Now the seats will not work, and the fuses appear to be in good wooking order. My questions are...

1. How many fuses protect the power seat circuit?
2. Are there any in line fuses or switches?
3. Is this a typical problem for this model year of the kia amanti?

2004 amanti blows #7 and #10 fuses when ignition is turned on. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

What do the fuses do? If the car has an electric throttle connection then there's your problem. Get an auto electrician or good home mechanic to help trace the fault. Look on the fuse box or drivers handbook to see what those fuses do and go from there. Don't keep putting fuses or larger fuses in the box because you could start a fire.

Kia amanti air condition

It could be your blower motor. It is located on the bottom passenger side of the dash board under/behind the glove box. There is a cover you can remove and you can touch the blower motor. once you have the cover off start the car and turn the fan speed to high then try hitting the blower motor and see if you get air flow. if this works you need to replace the blower motor. If not you need a test light and start checking fuses and see if you have power to the motor.

Power seat stops working the same day the dealership replaces the fuse for the 4th time. 2005 kia amanti

Hi,
If the power seat keeps burning out fuses, then the motor in it is drawing too much amperage. There can be something caught in the tracks to the system that is causing enough physical resistance to the motion of the seat of cause this to happen.
It does not sound like a short circuit because it would blow instantly.
I would get a strong flashlight and a mirror and a hand full of fuses and try to recreate the failure while looking at the mechanism. There may be a cardboard carton jammed up inside the mechanism or a ball point pen refill in the track lodged in such a way as to repeatedly blow the fuses.
Hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Mark
