My 86 prelude has a problem with starting. I recently put in a new starter and it went well for about a week then out of nowhere it just stopped starting... then a couple days later my dad started repeatedly turning the key and got it started. now everytime i need to go i have to do this. it is getting harder and harder to do so now i have school. What can the problem be?

When you turn your key off, does your engine cut off with the key or does it take your engine a second or two longer to cut off?

I have a 1986 honda prelude 2 door 2.0 motor and automatic. my starter just went and i need to take the old one off to put the new one on but i took off 2 bolts am i missing a bolt that it still wont come...

If the starter has never been replaced, it is probable seized onto the transmission. Try spraying penetrating fluid, or WD40 on the area its seized on, and use a prybar to remove the starter.
I hope this helps

I have a 1986 prelude that won't start.

DOES THE CAR SOUND LIKE IT WANTS TO TURN OVER AT ALL?

Why are you having to jump it? Bad battery...too weak....weak battery not supplying enough juice to the starter to turn the motor over....

Neen new motor for my 86 honda prelude

Best way is to call a salvage yard and ask how new a motor you can use. Just tell them your looking for one.
