2007 Impala (police package) climate control system will not heat the vehicle interior. Fan will not run. Fan works intermittently, but not consistently. At highway speeds, some heat enters the passenger compartment, but at city speeds, climate control will not heat the interior at all.

I just went through this. Wasnt the resister. Wasnt the fan motor. Wasnt a loose wire. I ended up replacing all those and still had same issue. Was the controls themselves. Deep sigh in the winter months.

SOURCE: Impala has dual climate control. AC blows cold on

with a dual climate control system, it is imperative for a proper refrigerant charge to be maintained. the symptom you describe is a possible indicator of low charge on the system. the ac evaporator core is closest to the right side of vehicle thereby making air feel cooler on that side, on the left side of the vehicle the cooled air has farther to travel and warms up from cabin air before it discharged from the vents. this is the most probable issue for your vehicle...however if the charge is accurate, the issue would be more so in the air temperature doors which is located deep inside the dash...i hope this helps...good luck!

SOURCE: Automatic Headlights don't work on Impala - Police Package.

Its called a multi functional switch in your steering column. The part is 525.00 at the dealer but can get online for about 365.00. Normally the high beams work and lows do not. 1.2 hours to replace this part.

Cooling system diagram 2003 Chevy Impala

Here is a general diagram of the cooling system for a 2003 Chevrolet Impala:
[Diagram of 2003 Chevrolet Impala cooling system]
In this diagram, the main components of the cooling system are labeled as follows:
  1. Radiator: This is a heat exchanger that is responsible for dissipating heat from the engine coolant.
  2. Radiator fan: This is a fan that helps to cool the radiator by blowing air through it.
  3. Thermostat: This is a valve that controls the flow of coolant through the engine and radiator based on the temperature of the engine.
  4. Water pump: This is a pump that circulates the coolant through the engine and radiator.
  5. Engine block: This is the main component of the engine, where the combustion process takes place.
  6. Head gasket: This is a gasket that seals the engine block and cylinder head, allowing the coolant to flow through the engine.
  7. Cylinder head: This is a component of the engine that covers the top of the cylinders and contains the valves.
  8. Heater core: This is a small radiator that is responsible for heating the interior of the vehicle.
I hope this information is helpful! If you have any further questions or need more detailed information about the cooling system for your 2003 Chevrolet Impala, you may want to consider consulting with a mechanic or referring to the vehicle's owner's manual.

Need to know how to change interior fan motor 2006 caddillac sts

Video on youtube , maybe . Why doesn't work ? Not at any speed ? Does the vehicle have manual or automatic climate control (HVAC) - heating ,ventilation , A/C . Could be blower motor resistor or blower motor control processor , depending on the system .

Have a 2009 Nissan Quest I can't turn the heat off. Just stays on a high level of blowing out heat .

If you have a fan that has different speed settings (1234, or low med high etc) and the only one that works is high - then the blower resistor pack has failed. If you have a climate control unit (where you just pick a temp you want) then the fan is controlled by the heating system and it sets fan speed. If you have climate control style try lowering the temp to a lower setting (current temp in vehicle) and see if fan slows down. If not then climate control unit or fan resistor bad. If dial type and you get nothing on lower settings (only high works like mentioned above) you need to change blower resistor. It is located under dash near the fan itself. Look for small unit bolted in duct near fan with wire plug going to it.

Where is the fan risistor located on 2007 toyota tacoma

They typically on the fan itself because they need the air flow to cool them. The resistor basically converts power to heat.

Sometimes they're mounted on a panel attached to the airbox for the same reason.

Best bet is to pull the heater fan, look for it on the fan, and if it's not there, trace the power wires back from the fan. They're not usually too far away.

Not sure if this applies to your vehicle or not but some climate control systems (SAAB, GM) have a FAT power transitor array attached to a big heatsink that is called a fan controller. in that specific arrangment, the fan continues to run when the vehicle is off.

hi,
some vehicles have a synchronised twin electric fan system that operates only when the AC is turned on, can you manually turn off the AC and see if that changes what you have just described.
If not then the climate air ( AC ) sensor may be faulty.

Heater went out now I have heat but also in the ac position no a/c

Depending on whether you have dual climate control in your vehicle, this sounds like an actuator problem. There are two of them up front that "sense" the air temperature and allow the vehicle to adjust either hot or cold respectively. To have them replaced is gonna run you about $350 a piece.

Here is a heated seat TSB for cars built prior to 12/14/07

INOPERATIVE HEATED SEAT(S) - BUILT
BEFORE 12/14/2007

FORD:
2005-2007 Five Hundred, Freestyle
2008 Taurus X, Taurus

MERCURY:
2005-2007 Montego
2008 Sable

ISSUE
Some 2005-2007 Freestyle, Five Hundred, Montego and 2008 Taurus, Sable and Taurus X vehicles built before 12/14/2007 may exhibit an inoperative heated seat(s). This concern may be caused by an intermittent open element in the heated seat mat.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
The heated seat system is controlled by the heated seat module located underneath the front passenger seat cushion. The heated seat switches are part of the heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) module but the heated seat system operates independently from the climate control system. The heated seat module regulates seat temperature by monitoring resistance of a thermistor type thermostat located in the cushion heater mat. The heated seat module is designed to remain on, heating the seat and maintaining temperature until switched off. For vehicles built before 5/1/2006, the module will time-out and switch off after 10 minutes.

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10 for pin point test on inoperative heated seat(s).
a. When testing the heater mats resistance and circuits for an intermittent open, technicians should sit in the seat while testing the circuit resistance, move the seat in multiple seating positions and apply pressure to several areas of the heated seat mat to ensure the mat element is not open intermittently.

2. Refer to WSM 501-10 for heated seat element replacement when an open electrical circuit has been identified.

Is the 3.8 '02 impala a police package?

I think it was standard for the Police package, but it was also an option on the basic Impala. My 02 Impala LS had a 3.8L. I'm not positive, But pretty sure it was standard with the LS package.
