Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

check all the fuses before you do anything else. After all a fuse provides power to the electronic box that controls the transmission. Other than that I would not advice on a more complicated troubleshooting since there is no way for you to test a bad transmission computer, even mechanic shops don't know how to test them. The only thing they would do is slap a known good one and see what happens.

Here's what my service manual says:

EATX Controller DTC Present

This SBEC III or JTEC DTC indicates that the EATX or Aisin controller has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a CCD (EATX) or SCI (Aisin) message. The spscific fault must be acquired from the EATX via CCD or from the Aisin via ISO-9141.

Here's what I know: MIL=malfunction indicator light; DTC=diganostic trouble code; CCD=Chrysler collision detection. Beyond that, I'm clueless. Sounds like it needs to be read out at the dealer. Then again, if it was a one-time glitch, it might clear itself after several drive cycles.

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description Article by Dale Toalston ASE Certified Technician Transmission Control System TCS Malfunction What does that mean? Many vehicles have a control module for the automatic transmission called a transmission control module (TCM). The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. If the TCM detects a fault in the automatic transmission and sets a transmission related fault code, the ECM is informed of this also and sets a P0700 in the ECM memory. This illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) to let the driver know there is a problem. If this code is present and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is illuminated that basically means there is at least one transmission code set in the TCM's memory. P0700 is an informational code only. It doesn't point to a direct fault in the engine, only a general fault in the transmission. More diagnosis is necessary to identify what the transmission fault is. This requires a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission module. Symptoms Symptoms of a P0700 DTC may include: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination The transmission may exhibit drivability problems like slipping, etc. Causes More often then not, the cause of this code is that there is a transmission problem of some kind. The TCM detected the problem and set a code. P0700 means that a fault code is stored in the TCM. However this doesn't rule out the possibility of a failed PCM or TCM (unlikely). Possible Solutions For a P0700 the only real solution is to acquire a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission control module. Extracting this code from the TCM will be the first step in repairing the fault in the transmission. If the TCM compatible scan tool will not communicate with the Transmission Control Module then that is a good indication that there may be a fault with the TCM itself. Codes p1192 an po700

P1192 has to do with Intake Air Temp. That sensor might be bad. The P0700 has to do with Transmission Control. Whether it's the control module or something else is hard to say at this point. However, if the vibration is really in the front of the vehicle, I would start by checking UJoints on the front drive shaft, CV Joints and the Transmission Mount/Motor Mounts. Make sure your transmission fluid level is correct. The shaking "under a load" is likely a torque converter issue. I had the same problem on my 96 Suburban. Instead of rebuilding the transmission (or changing the torque converter), there is a product available called "Dr. Tranny Shudder Fixx". Small tube, put in with Transmission Fluid, shudder goes away almost instantly. Hope this helps.

What do i need to replace to fix error code p0700 on a 2002 dodge intrepid

(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request) Translation: Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure. P0700 Information Code The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM. This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes. So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it.

I hope this helps....let me know if I can assist further !!

1996 Tahoe error code P0700 detected at PepBoys

P0140 Oxygen Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2) P1192 Post-catalyst Fuel Trim System Bank 1

Replace the O2 sensor after the catalytic Converter and check to make sure the wire harness and clips are not damaged. Also check the O2 sensor fuse in the fuse panel to make sure there not blown.
As for the p0700 code is a generic code and the ECM needs to re-calibrated for the performance upgrade in your transmission. It's common to happen when there are changes like the transmission fluid pressure has been altered which would give it a better and firmer shift, but the transmission reads the higher line pressure as a problem. If you take it to a good transmission shop with a tech2 scanner, the tech2 can change the transmission ECM parameters and that way it will recognize the higher transmission line as a norm.
Have done a few upgrades on the 4L60E with a common swap of the servo's with a corvette servo's ($45.00) to firm up the shift and raise the transmission line pressure to keep the slipping to a minimal and also bring down the shift points at WOT on the 1st-2nd shift to get going a bit faster (used Tech2 scanner).
Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
