You need to get the alarm system reprogrammed. I don't know your personal code. It may be in the owner manual. If not, you will need to call a Dodge dealer.
You will have to use a key to turn one of the door locks or the trunk lock, in order to turn off the factory security system, which will then allow the car to start. If it's an aftermarket alarm you have installed in your car, you will have to consult the user manual for that particular alarm in order to disarm it.
This is close to imposible, you would need a scan tool to reprogram a need chip code into the computer, now if theres no chip the power locks or the door lock should deactivte the alarm system, if you dont have a door key then you would need to remove the door panel and manualy turn linkake on the lock as if it were the key, but i think the 2000 had a key chip.
try this there is a manufactuer alarm that should set off when u put the key in and turn.. do that one more time(BUT makng sure alrm goes off then do it again) then dont take the key out turn offthen set it in the acc. postion in the ignition after the alarm goes off then wait about 5 to 10 min and turn on by then it should have reprogramed and kick on..the third time is when you should be waiting for the programming to be down...its very very important that you do the programming on the third time
do you hear the doors lock? if so its probably the alarm its self an will have to go to the dealer.if you dont hear the doors lock then the remote either isnt working or simply needs battery.
