Why doesn't my 1999 saturn idle right? Is it hard to fix myself?

Click on the link, that is throttle body and iac cleaning. See if it helps?
I don't know if idle too hi or too low or rough? The basics for any vehicle with rough idle is to check for a leak of some kind, fuel--egr--vacuum, something of that nature.
How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? I don't know which Saturn you have?

After receiving a tune up on my 4.2 cylinder 2003 Trailblazer 1 ignition coil is misfiring. It wasn't before the tune up. Why

There is little to tune up on this vehicle which would affect the ignition coil. The vehicle's ECU manages tuning functions.
Try replacing the ignition coil. This will not likely be an issue caused by regular maintenance unless the coil or wiring was damaged when attempting to remove the vehicle's spark plugs or leads.

I want to do a tune up on my toyota highlander myself what do i need?

With electronic ignition sytems today there are no moving parts in the top of the ignition module. Spark plugs and an Air filter is about all you can do for a tune up at home. There is no need to do any timing adjustments.

However..... if you have not changed the timing belt on an 8 year old vehicle it is time to have that done. A worn or loose timing belt can cause your vehicle to idle slower or not maintain an even speed when using a cruise control system or (cruise off) driving a contsant speed and the car seems to cycle up and down in speed a little bit.

Thanks for using FixYa.

When it idles the vehicle shakes. it idles rough

It sounds like there may be a cylinder misfire... .basically a misfire is when a cylinder does not fire correctly, This can be caused by faulty spark plugs, coil packs, dirty fuel injectors, clogged fuel filter,or bad cylinder compression. When was the last time you gave it a tune-up? I would lean towards changing the spark plugs myself. good luck

Air conditioning unit not working... What could it be???/ Can I fix it myself???? what does the manual say about tune ups??/ How often? I have a 2007 ford escape... Ive lost my manuel.... please help...

All auto supply stores sell "Haynes" repair manuals. Find the one for your Escape ($25).
The manual will answer all of your questions and be very useful.
You will buy a manual for every vehicle you will purchase in the future ... that good...

Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

I want to tune-up, myself , where do I get information? Advice?

right here! for a tune up all you got to do is change your oil, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter. not very hard to do! to change oil, you got to drain all the oil out with a socket or wrench. make sure its not the transmission you drain. but drain oil, then take filter off, take new filter rub oil around the top on the rubber sealing. put on car. put about 5 quarts of oil in. get spark plug socket, change plugs. when you change plug wires, make sure to do it ONE AT A TIME!!! or else you will wire it up wrong and have tons and tons of problems. then air filter is pretty easy, take it out and clean it,,put back in and there you go, tuned up!
