on my blazer it wasn't real hard to do you take off the tire and there are 3 bolts on the back of the bearing holding it on and one nut in the middle of the bearing there is also a sensor on the bearing you take all of these off and the bearing should come off you may need to use a puller to get it off when you put the new one on make sure you torque the bolts and the nut or something could brake inside and you will haft to replace the bearing again.
Those vehicles should have a hub assembly which incorporates a bearing and hub in one unit. To my knowledge the bearing is not serviceable. The hub assembly is bolted to the steering knuckle, so there actually is no wheel bearing torque. The tire/wheel assembly bolts directly to the wheel flange on the new hub assembly.
YES. after you take the brakes, rotors off, the bearing has 3 or 4 bolts, take those out and the 1 big nut off the end of the axle. the bearing unit should come out. grease the splined shaft before you put the new bearing on it. ,if you need to do front brakes, now is the time.
In addition to the great answer above, it is extreamly improtant to torque the front hub nut to the proper torque. If you under or over torque the nut which puts pressure on the bearing, you will be changing it again in a very short time. Refer to a shop manual, or go to the local auto parts store and look at a chiltons manual for reference torque value.
Plan on spending more than $75 on this repair I am quite shore that that wont evan cover the parts. It definitely has a wheel bearing in the case of this vehicle it can only be replaced as an assembly that includes the hub. The ABS wheel speed senser is often sold as part of the assembly or in some cases is sold separately. good chance it will need to be replaced. Get the job done as soon as possible this is a very unsafe condition Your wheel will fall off while driving eventually if not repaired
