Im not sure if you mean the blower is'nt working or if you mean the blower is working but the air is cold so I'll try to answer both, if the blower is'nt working it is possibly a bad fuse, the fuse panel may list it as the heater or it may say blower, now if its blowing but the air is cold it is most likely a bad thermostat, sometimes the heater core goes out but if you havnt noticed the window fogging on the front windshield on the passenger side or smelled coolant in the cab of the vehicle the heater core is probably fine , the thermostat is a common culprit and they are fairly easy to change, one other thing before you go changing anything, check to make sure the radiator is full, with the car cool take the radiator cap off and run the car until it starts to get warm and see if you can add some coolant

My heater has quit working and i know my thermostat and heater core are working what else could cause my heater to stop working and i also know its not my blower motor

heatercore could have a restriced flow. feel both heat hoses and see if they are hot and both the same tempalso heater may work better at lower speeds. if that is the case, you might have too much fresh air mixing with heated air. under the dash and thru the glovebox will give you access to the mixind doors and maybe you can find which one makes heater work better. sometimes it as simple as a vacum leak to mix door motors

I have a 1996 ford explorer and my heater when I first get in and it slightly warmed up the heat works great then as i drive a little the temp gauge goes way up 2 hot then back down to normal and the...

You probably have air in the system. Take off the radiator cap and start the engine. Turn the heater on hot. Let it warm up and fill the radiator as the level drops. Make sure the thermostat opens and coolant is flowing in the radiator. Continue to add coolant until the level stops dropping. Also check for any bleed ports on the hoses or housings where they attach. If you see any bleed ports, crack them open and let any air out. Put the cap back on and see if the heater is working. If this doesn't work, please get back to me.
