Don't ever taste anything from an engine! Leaking green antifreeze usually means an inexpensive hose needs replacing. The leak is usually from the middle section of the vehicle... I go to PepBoys, decent prices unless this is something you can do yourself. Good day :)

Also first check to see if you didn't add too much antifreeze in the first place as this will cause green leaking.

Possible fluorescent dye injected into the coolant, engine oil or a/c system to trace a leak.

or....... antifreeze.

Dab a little on your tongue , if it tastes sweet it is antifreeze..(.a little drop on your tongue wont hurt you.)

If so..possible coolant pump leak.

Fluid leak

This could very well be your water pump. I know what your thinking " it couldnt be itsinthe middle but fluid takes the least path of resistance if your car is parked on a slope then you might have your cooling system checked

1998 beetle leaking coolant

First of all, it's a VW, so it shouldn't have ANY "neon green stuff", it should have pink G12 coolant from VW. If the leak is getting worse, it's a hose failing, and splitting worse and worse under the cooling system pressure. find the leaking hose and replace it, but I'd recommend using a VW specific mechanic, so the "neon green stuff" doesn't make it back into your car, where it shouldn't be.

My power steering fluid in my dodge neon is green???

Well I am a master Certified Chrysler tech and Chrysler has been using a Clear to yellowish Power steering fluid for many years now. In most vehilces power steering fluid is pretty much standard automatic transmission fluid (thus the red color) The only fluid that that car came with that was green was the antifreeze. There may case where someone has service the power steering system and replaced the factory fluid with an aftermarket fluid which is green tinted in color.. Cant say that working 17 years at a 9 franchise dealership that I have ever seen green power steering fluid, but anything is possibile I guess, Reguardless that is not whats causing the car to not start. I would venture to say that since the power steering resivor and the radiator cap are a few inces from each other that your dad has accidently took off the wrong cap. The clicking when starting is either a weak battery (most likely) or a corroded cable situation at the battery.(possibile) or a defective starter (rare) Try jumping it with jumper cables... Then get the battery and charging sytem checked..
Hope this helps
Sincerely
Roger

Where do you put transmission fluid in 2005 dodge neon?

If the trans is an automatic the dipstick is usually marked quite clearly and can be found near the brake-fluid reservoir. If the trans is a manual then you need to get under the car to find it. But, either way, if the trans needs fluid then it is leaking, and if it is leaking you need to get the leak repaired. A trans that is low on fluid will fail, and usually people don't realize they are low on fluid until it is too late.

I found yellow fluid on snow under my 2003 sunfire.what could it be?

Either an animal has gotten under there(urine), or you have an antifreeze leak.

My transmission is leaking, they replaced the seal last week, now its leaking again. I tried checking the level, and it says dont add if the fluid is up to the 2 holes on cold or the hole under the hot, I...

Hello your neon will hold up to 7.5 letters when completely drained however the only way to check your transmission fluid is when your engine has reached full operation temperature. The transmission fluid level rises when hot so adding to the fluid cold is NOT a good thing to do.Sounds like your not empty so i would consider returning the car back to the person who repaired it and bring it to the attention repair is still leaking bring you paper with you.

Theres a leak of radiator fluid close to the transmition bellow the car

hi there and welcome to fixya,

You'll need to replace the radiator hose if it is indeed where the leak is coming from. If it's neon green in color, that probably is radiator fluid. Have the engine run (from cold) and check the radiator fluid level. if it significantly lowers, then you have indeed a radiator fluid leak.

Hope this helps

I found a puddle of green fluid - i think it was the coolant. How do I know what it is. The car has had no symptoms of overheating or low levels or anything. Help!!

You already know, it is most likely coolant, unless your vehicle uses a color other than green.
If it is oily vs watery, then maybe power steering fluid.
I would guess you have a leaking water pump ,or a hose leak, you have to get in there and look around. we don't have the vehicle, to do that for you.
