Check your radiator cap for damage or wear that this age. One BIG THING, the
raditor fan. Depending upon engine and spec's it might be electic, hyrdaulic or
mechanical drive. IS it working? Do you have an undamaged shroud? On the times
is does not over heat. A/C on or off. If on and not mechanical fan the fan MUST
be on either drive. If mechanical, is the clutch good? When is over heats or is
getting hot, does the fan work. These are the easy and cheap things to check
first.

38,000 miles change oil evey 3,000. Just lost the A/C belt 30 minutes out side of Las Vegas. Tentioner pulley workered loose and ate it (2nd time). At 35,000 I had the 30,000 mile maintenance performed.
automatic trans, 2 electric fans, (1 for when A/C comes on) This last time when I heard the boiling I started the motor with the A/C and both fan came on. I'll have to pay attention for future events.
I'll check the radiator cap shortly.
Thanks a lot for your help!
