Plug wires are generally the cause of this.

My distributor on 94 gmc 1500 5.7 I replace but didn't mark rotor the distributor falls in n the teeth line up together rotor points between 6 n 8 o clock what will happen if its not the rite way

if its off when you go to start will backfire.if your not sure pull number 1 spark plug and then turn engine with bolt on crankshaft put finger over #1 spark plug hole when you feel air slow down and use flash light to see piston coming up when its all the way up stop then put cap on distributor and see where number one wire is mark distributor and then with rotor on stab distrib with rotor pointing at number one your mark you put on distrib housing then put cap back on and should fire right up if it still back fires your 180 drees off meaning when #1 piston was coming up it was on exhuast instead of compression so take cap off see where your pointing good luck its really not that bad

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 and need to replace distributor cap. and roter Can anyone tell me where it is .

What size of engine do you have? OR you can follow the spark plug wires. Start at the engine, put one in your hand and follow it to the other end. Where it stops is the top of your distributor cap. If you have a 5.2L engine it will be on the top at the back of the engine, you will have to remove the air filter to get at it.

99 chevy 1500 5.7 missing on 3 4 6 replaced tp, map, wires cap rotor fuel filter spark plugs injectors cam and crank sensor

Not much else it could be you have renewed just about everything. How about the coil sets? How healthy do the sparks look? try swapping some the faulty cylinder coils around with those that are good and noting the shift in misfires. The coils get hot and suffer over time. I think if you examine the sparks from each plug in turn you will see big differences from good to poor. For safety disconnect the fuel pump relay when checking the spark we don't want any fires.

I have 97 dodge ram 1500. Once tha truck reaches operating temp. it will stall at idle. Some times you drive it and it runs fine then you stop at a store get a snack and then it wont start with out pumping...

A few things actually lol. How long since its last tune up? A dirty air filter, worn spark plugs and wires and cap and rotor can cause a poor idle and stalling. Not to mention a dirty fuel filter. The fuel filter is in the gas tank unfortunatlly :(
Try giving it a basic tune up " about 45 dollars" and see if that helps. Good luck.

Rough idle no power when given gas

check spark plug connections,if you didnt replace the cap and rotor ,they will fail quickly, because new wires and plugs are going to demand more current, old cap and rotor just cant handle,is that the mass air flow sensor that you replaced?very delicate part, must be clean, and mounted securely, double check part no. make sure they gave you the right one,if you put in a used one ,all i can say is that you get what you pay for.check fuel pressure, its possible that the fuel pump is starting to fail, and the tune up has nothing to do with the problem(consider this option only if nothing else works)

94 chevy k1500 5.7L engine won't run properly.

It could and most likely is a faulty Fuel pump.

Need to put spark plug back onto distribator cab but dont know which goes where

put the cylinder one on TDC
pull the cap off and look at witch one the rotor is on..
then going clock wise here are the firing orders depending on which engine you have...
4 cylinder 1-3-4-2/ 6 cylinder 1-6-5-4-3-2/
8 cylinder 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

97 silverado won't start

Sounds like you need to get the Starter Solinoid Replaced. Just for Kicks make sure that you check EVERY Fuse and Relay in Both the Fuse Panel inside the Cab and the One Under the Hood.
