On your Santa Fe the (+) and (-) on the shifter is if you would want to manual shift your car. If for any reason you feel the need to control what gear the transmission is in.

SOURCE: what does the plus/minus button on the chevy malibu shifter do?

Hi there,
I suppose its a sports mode function where the + enables you to upshift and the - to downshift.
Try using this mode when you are driving as you might like it if you used to drive manual cars before...
Cheers

What are the plus and minus signs on the gear shift 0f 2015 Dodge Dart and what do they do?

It's just to place the automatic trans into a "Manual" mode. The transmission will still shift itself, but will rev to a higher RPM before shifting if you want a bit more performance. Unless you are racing the car, the standard drive mode is fine and easier on internal parts.

Bantam 1600 rocam fitted new natteey as it curs out. All lights on dash comes on sounds like relays opening and closing continously

i don't know. make sure battery is hooked up to correct plus and minus posts. try shutting off everything and close doors and trunk. engage the parking brake. put shift selector in park or out of gear. try to start. if it runs, you can try turning on one thing at a time to discover what is the cause of the continuous noises.

Could you send me a diagram of how to hook up the two six volt house batteries.

Hi if you want to join two batteries to make 12v place the batteries side to side and. Connect the negative from one battery to the plus of the other. Then connect the batteries in the vehicle as normal plus to plus minus to minus. If the vehicle is 6v then connect plus to plus and minus to minus this will give you 6volts and double the amps. Hope this helps. Regards Jim...

Like to know how to set timing on a 92 suberu. all

The '92 Subaru Legacy uses a distributorless ignition system. No adjustment is possible/necessary. The computer adjusts the timing continuously.

You can check the timing if you have a timing light. The spec for engines with a turbo charger is 15 degrees plus or minus 8 degrees at 700 RPM. Non-turbo engines are 20 degrees plus or minus 8 degrees at 700 RPM.

What do the settings S-D and plus minus on trasmission shifter m

The plus and the minus allows you to "manually" shift the automatic transmission; sort of like a manual transmission, without a clutch......minus = downshift, + = upshift.
Just put it in "D" and drive on.
