The brake light will illuminate when the hand brake is on and when the brake fluid is low. Have you checked to make sure the brake fluid is full in the master cylinder reservoir?

The brake warning light that illuminates when you put the parking brake on is also illuminated by the low brake fluid switch and the abs module. I would start off with checking the easy things first that do not require disasemmbling anything.
1 Make sure the brake fluid is to the full mark on the resevoir. If it is not fill with the fluid recomended in your owners manual.
2.If the fluid is full then you will want to to verify you do not simply have a bad fluid level switch or parking brake switch. I would unplug the brake fluid level switch first as it is easy to access. It is the 2 wire switch on the master cylinder, It should be an orange and a black wire.
3. If the light still flickers then disconnect the parking brake switch . This is under the console near the parking brake lever. It is a two wire switch and should have an orange and black wire.
4. If the light still flickers with both switches unplugged then it is time to disconnect the ABS module. This is a large black connector near the master cylinder and plugs into a component that has brake lines coming out the top.
5. If the light still flickers this indicates you either have a wire that is shorting to ground or possibly a faulty cluster. To determine which it is you will need an Ohm Meter or being this is a simple circuit you can use a test light. Leave the brake switch, fluid level switch, and abs module unplugged and remove the cluster. Go to the brake fluid level switch and on the harness side of the connector check the orange wire for a short to ground. If their is continuity to ground you will need a wiring diagram to isolate the circuit as it runs thru 3 main harnesses. If you have no continuity to ground you have a bad cluster.

HAND BRAKE SWITCH NEED TO BE ADJUSTED OR IT HAS A SHORT.OR SWITCH COULD BE BAD.

Sounds like the switch located on the hand brake arm that turns the "light" on out of adjustment, or as some do...it is failing. The switches are normally cheap.

it sounds like your brake is either stuck or the line going to it has broke or popped off try taking the plastic shell from around it and lookin for a loose wire of cable thats not hooked up this should fix your problem
Testimonial: "Thanks for that will give that a go, hopefully it's that simple. Thks again"

This sometimes is triggered by the MAF(Mass Air Flow Sensor), try cleaning it with the highest percent isoproply alcohal first, do not touch the sensor with anything use a big bag to soak it into, or just replace the sensor.
This light will remain illuminated when the handbrake is engaged.
Illumination after releasing the handbrake may indicate low brake fluid
level (MUST CHECK THIS IMMEDIATELY AND RECTIFY).
Hope the information is useful ... be extremely careful and attend to this warning immediately if it is still on with your handbrake off and brake fluid top up!
