About 2 hours if you are talented in auto repair. Remember to put oil on the new O rings before you reinstall injectors, also clean out the injectors port holes.

1997 pontiac sunfire crank no start condition. Have spark, no codes, have injector pulse, good fuel pressure. But it seems that the injectors are not letting fuel into the cylinder.

Did you check the actual voltage reading to fuel injectors? I wondered about a voltage drop? Your fuel pump relay supplies voltage to both fuel pump and fuel injectors.
In the diagram, the gray wire is voltage and the other color is ground controlled by computer. Did you check fuel injectors, individually?I'd want to use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Fuel--spark--compression--timing. There are other ways to get fuel in the engine besides fuel injectors, Just to see if engine will hit? There are safety issues, safety is your responsibility.

Have 1997 sunfire had a injector that was cracked an leaking replace it with new one now can is rough to start an dies when stoping

pull that injector again and replace the seals with new ones as it appears that the fuel is by- passing the injector and flooding the cylinder.

Code po172(loss of power) on 2002 pontiac sunfirer

Possible causes
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
My bet would be dirty fuel injectors, Try putting fuel injector cleaner in your tank next time you fill up.

My 97 sunfire smells like gas and uses too much fuel. Ive checked the fuel lines and there are no leaks. Now what??????

Check to see if your filler pipe is rusted(The pipe where you put gas in). Do you smell gas stronger when you fill up your tank?

GAS IN ENGINE OIL

The engine is running way to rich, that would be the only reason for gas in the oil, things that cause a rich mixture are leaking fuel injectors or to much fuel pressure, have these checked by a shop, also do u have a check engine light?
