Either have a fuse blown, or you need a resistor pack. it's located in the heater box next to the blower motor.

The blower on my a/c quits working, then starts again, then quits...and so on?? is my blower going out or something unplugged?

if it does this on any fan speed it is most likely a bad blower motor, if it inly while on a certin speed such as full high or full low it could be the fan speed resistor located right near the fan motor, screwed into the fan housing

My a/c went out on my 99 mercury cougar but that was because my a/c compressor went out. My heat was working after that and then it went out too. I thought it was my blower motor so i bought a new one....

You have two other components that control the blower, the control switch and the blower resistor block. The switch is the knob you turn to select the speed and will cause you loose power to the next component that is the resistor block. This part is usually next to the blower motor because it needs to be cooled by the fan and it is responsible for the different fan speeds. Either component can cause a total loss of the blower fan. Go to a online parts lookup like autozone.com and it will show you a picture of the parts so you can identify them.

I have 2002 infinity I35 and the blower motor stop working ,I took out the blower motor to make sure was good. YES the blower motor still working .the only think I really don't know how to check is Blower...

WELL YOU HAVE TO USE A VOLT METER CONNECT ONE VOLT METER WIRES TO GOOD GROUND AND THE OTHER VOLT METER WIRES GOES TO EACH SWITCH SPEED.IF VOLT METER GET VOLTAGE A 1 OR 2 CONTROL SPEED RESISTOR BAD.IF RESISTOR BAD YOU WILL GET 1 OR 2 BLOWER MOTOR SPEEDS.IF BLOWER MOTOR WORKING.CHECK THE AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH FUSE OR CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY.IF ALL GOOD SO FAR CONTROL SWITCH ITSELF COULD BE FAULTY.

I only get the fan to work on high speed, the lower speeds do not work

Hi!!
The Blower Motor Resistor also called Manual Temp. Control resistor), is fried, replace. The price with floor console $25 and without floor console $65. here is a pic.

the resistor is located on the blower motor housing, fastened by two screws. It is the part where the electrical plug connects, the plug on the pic. goes to the blower motor.
A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

What will make a blower in a car only work on high 0n a 1996 sunfire

Could be two things. Heater control..or heater switch. Or the moter is not recieving the reostat info from control. Check at heater wher wires go into it..as you change positions of switch you should see a voltage drop or increase, if u do then the moter is bad...if u do not then replace the heater control unit. :)

Heater blower quit working

U will need a new switch, a new connector to the switch, a new blower motor and a new blower motor speed control resistor to fix this right, about $200 for parts and 2 hours labor time, so in my area about $400. my local labor rate is $100-125 per hour.

Heater blower switch

change the resistor block located at the evaporator housing or the blower housing. this is the part that slows down the speed of your blower.
