I will assume you mean no heat or A/C (if your A/C works) will come out the vents when you move your Fan switch..If your blower is blowing but nothing is coming out your vents chances are its a bad Blend door actuator ..most auto parts stores carry them and they can be a pain to remove and install but most diy can do it no problem https://www.autozone.com/cooling-heating-and-climate-control/a-c-heater-blend-door-actuator
USUALLY A VACUUM LEAK, CAUSES THE AIR TO BLOW THRU THE DEFROSTER VENTS. IF THIS IS TRUE. CHECK THE VACUUM LINES UNDER THE HOOD (USUALLY THIN BLACK PLASTIC OR RUBBER) AND WHERE THEY CONNECT TO THE HVAC CONTROLLER IN THE DASH. LISTEN FOR THE LEAK WHILE THE ENGINE IS IDLING. IF NOT, COULD BE DAMPER DOOR MOTOR STUCK OR INOP. GOOD LUCK!
If they are stuck on defrost, then the problem is a little vaccum line that comes through the firewall as all the climate controls are vaccum controlled,so look for a small green or black plastic line unhooked.
From what your saying, it works in a sense, but very little air is blowing out. I had this issue with my '96 328i where the climate control was only running the fans at a low speed no matter what setting I put it on. The resolution to my problem was replacing the final stage unit for the climate control and now my heat and a/c work beautifully and the fan goes from low to high without problems. If you don't have climate control but the manual dials for the heat and a/c, then you may need to change the blower resistor pack. For either unit, it can be located in several places and you'll have to do some searching to find it good. If the convertible is any similar to the 4dr sedan I have, it should be located under the dash panel on the drivers side at the rear of the console. Hopefully this link may help you out.
My blower works fine, but no hot air at all
