Fuel pump has a thermo-breaker built in, when fuel pump gets hot it trips the breaker, until it cools down then it will reset fuel pump is bad!, every time it trips the breaker it will take longer and longer to reset
Do you have a check engine light on? If yes; try to get the code, have someone loan you a scan tool to access the codes. If you do not have a check engine light on it is not a ecm control issue, ie. (cam or crank sensors etc). Suspect the fuel pump. If you are certain it is working ok. Next is to check the coil pack and Ignition module. Look for spark at the plugs. Pull a plug wire and look / listen for spark to jump out the end to bear metal as you spin the engine trying to start it.
Thank you so much - yes the engine light IS on as well as the check guages. We are going to get a scan tool tonight. I know when they checked the plugs they were tapped very high and different for each and appeared to be the original stock plugs (car only had 1 owner when we purchased it). I'll post tomorrow what we find tonight! Thank you so much again...
