Hi, Have an 88 Olds Cutlass Ciera. High beams come on, but won't stay on more then 10 seconds. Low beamd did work, but now flash on and off. This may or may not be related. Short in tail light , the fuse blows. May be Daytime Running Light (DRL) module. But can not locate DRL module. Where is DRL module located?

MOST VEHICLES HAVE A CIRCUIT BREAKER BUILT IN THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH. OVER TIME THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WILL GET WEAK & IT WILL TURN THE HEADLIGHTS ON & OFF. YOU PROBABLY NEED A NEW SWITCH & THE FUSE BLOWING IN THE TAIL LIGHT CIRCUIT MAY BE A SEPARATE ISSUE.

What would be wrong with your 88 olds cutlas ciera if you're driving down the road and car dies and won't restart?

My car did this for a while until it would no longer move and I was told all sorts of things including cleaning (all the gunk near the MAF -hosing) which made it run for a month but did idle too high. So diagnose and get the codes from your car- the paperclip way (autozone cant cause its older than 1992).
Codes I pulled pertaining to this issue were 22 (Throttle Position Sensor- TPS Signal Voltage Low) , 23 (Air Intake Temperature- MAT Low Temp Indicated), and 34 (Mass Air Flow Sensor- MAF)
Easy to DIY with these 3 sensors

Where is the high pressure ac located onn a 1995 olds cutlass ciera

The high pressure side is the line that goes to the condenser in front of the radiator, the low side is the line that goes between the evaporator inside the car to the compressor, the low side usually has a larger line than the high side. If you're planning to add refrigerant it has to go in the low side.

Headlight adjustment

AIMING The head lamps should be aimed using a special alignment tool, however this procedure may be used for temporary adjustment. Local regulations may vary regarding head lamp aiming, consult with your local authorities.
  1. Verify the tires are at their proper inflation pressure. Clean the head lamp lenses and make sure there are no heavy loads in the trunk. The gas tank should be filled.
  2. Position the vehicle on a level surface facing a flat wall 25 ft. (7.7 m) away.
  3. Measure and record the distance from the floor to the center of the head lamp. Place a strip of tape across the wall at this same height.
  4. Place strips of tape on the wall, perpendicular to the first measurement, indicating the vehicle centerline and the centerline of both head lamps.
  5. Rock the vehicle side-to-side a few times to allow the suspension to stabilize.
  6. Turn the lights on, adjust the head lamps to achieve a high intensity pattern.
