I had a similar problem on a nozzle that was on my car this winter. I removed the nozzle and soaked it in hot water for a few seconds, reinstalled it, and it worked, even though it was freezing outside.

You could also soak it in -20 deg. F windshield wiper fluid, after removing the nozzle, and that should work as well.

Good luck on this repair.

i did that this morning i can hear the fluid gathering at the top og the lift gate then it leaks down a drian in the lift gate..... it does not make it to the hose which is connected to the wiper i disconnected the hose from the wiper and no fluid comes out but the fluid leak from a drain port on the bottom of the lift gate

In that case, the rubber or plastic hose inside the lift gate has become damaged or is not connected up properly. Take apart the lift gate panel to get at the problem. Good luck, again, on this repair.

I had a similar problem of a hose being, actually, broken on my 1997 Cadillac Deville, where the plastic piping was broken in two. I rejoined it with rubber hose material of appropriate size from an auto parts store.

ok thanks why would they design the lift gate with a drain unless they fore saw that as a problem again thanks

Sure thing. Thanks for the rating! Well the drain is for such a problem, but sometimes it is also for condensation drainage. If there is too much water in the tailgate it can cause other things to go wrong, or cause premature rust, etc.

Where do I add washer fluid for rear window wiper on a 2000 blazer

Same place you fill for the front washer fluid ! Your fronts work but not the rear ? There are to washer pump motors on the washer fluid bottle , one for the front an one for the back . Rubber hose goes all the way to the back . If that hose has failed ,to replace it you basically have to pull out your vehicles interior .
Rear Window Washer Hose Replacement - Pump to Endgate
Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the endgate/liftgate door sill plate. Refer to Rear Floor Rear Trim Plate Replacement or Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the left front and left rear door sill plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the left body side trim panel. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the left hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
  7. Fold over the left side of the carpet to allow access to the body harness. Refer to Front Floor Mat/Carpet Replacement and Rear Floor Panel Carpet Replacement in Interior Trim.
Disconnect the washer hose connection (1) from the body harness (2) at the endgate. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
Disconnect the hose (1) from the rear washer pump. Install a plug to the rear washer pump nozzle to prevent washer fluid loss. Push the hose grommet (2) in through the bulkhead.
Pull the washer hose (1) into the vehicle though the bulkhead. Cut the old washer hose off where it enters the body wiring harness (2). Remove the hose end from the vehicle
Or it could be the pump , they go bad . switch the hoses from one pump to the other an see if you get washer fluid at the back ,if you do the pump is bad ,if not the hose or the spray nozzle is clogged . You probably will need to pull the washer fluid bottle to see both pumps

How to re attach supply hose to back window in T & C 2007

if the washer pump is working for the rear then you will have to remove the rear door interior panel and check the hose for a blockage and check and clean out the spray nozzle for the rear window. sometimes they get plugged and need cleaning.

Washer fluid on front

Sounds like one of your nozzles is clogged to me. Try this.....Get a spray can of air, like the computer air spray. Stick the long air can nozzle into the spray nozzle. Shoot some air back into the system and see if it frees your clog. When my fluid gets low, mine will get gunk in it and clog to the point of not spraying at all. Compressed air usually does the trick. If not, remove and clean or replace the nozzles.

How do i replace wind sheild washer spray nozzles ?

make sure you have washer fluid come out of the pump when on,if so maybe clogged hose to nozzle or nozzle clogged up which you can clean chemical residues with a sharp needle then moderately blow air(with air hose) from nozzle towards end of hose that connects to pump. Hope this helps. Oh,make sure not to wiggle the nozzle because then it would change direction of spray.

Washer fluid doesn't flush on rear window

not to be a smart @ss but is there fluid in the tank? Hose might be plugged to nozzle, remove hose from nozzle and see if anything comes out of the hose when you push button. if it does nozzle might be plugged. Use alittle Compressed air, to back feed through nozzle from outside to inside. Need more info: temps outside, kind of vehicle (year make and model) check fuses for washer fluid?

Why doesn't my rear window washer work . the resevior is full of vfluid the windshield washer works fine it is a 1997 plymouth voyager . the wiper works ok but not the wash

Sometimes they plug up or somewhere along the line it gets pinched. Take the line off of the nozzle in the back and try it out to see if you have good fluid flow with the hose removed. If you have good fluid flow your nozzle is likely plugged up.

Front washer fluid is not working but rear is

Most washer solvent bottles share a common resevoir. The rear washer pump is located above the front pump. Try filling resevoir completely. If this does not solve the problem, listen for pump howling when you engage it. If it engages & howls & still wont work, possibly rear nozzle is plugged. Disconnect hose to it. If you engage it & it squirts, nozzle is plugged. Try blowing through it with air hose or pick it out with a fine pick. If no noise or fluid either way pump will need to be replaced.

2004 Ford Explorer rear window washer does not squirk fluid. Pumps leaves fluid on ground behind left rear tire

I'd have to say that the small rubber hose that takes the fluid to the washer nozzel is broken or split somewhere along its length.

Rear window washer does not spray fluid. When I push the rear window washer button, the front washer/wipers turn on. The rear wipers work normally.

I have the same problem with my 2000 chevy blazer as skornec had posted. I kinda already figured the hose or spray nozzle was plugged. But the problem with checking those items is that I don't know where the hose is located to the back wiper. And the only thing that could be I see that could be the spray nozzle doesn't even have holes that washer fluid could spray from. So basically I just would LOVE if someone could please inform this lame brain of where to find the spray nozzle on the rear window and where in the interior of my blazer does the washer hose run.
