Central locking Hi all, I have just acquired a 2003 E320 CDI which is a great car. I do have a problem where the central locking on the passenger side (UK) doesn't work properly .... the locks "bounce" and it sometimes takes a few attempts for the locks to engage. Any ideas? Regards JD

You would have to take apart the door panel and check were the lock rod is their is a rubber copling which needs to be lubricated
with silicone grease, check the operation before you install door panel if is working ok,you dont have any other problem, but if it does'nt work you would need to replace complete latch.

My right side passenger door does not lock automatically anymore. Is there a fuse that operates this.

no all is related to one fuse you can remove the door internal controls and decore and remove center lock motor plug and test two connectors with multimeter with set on 12v and then lock un lock door and check the reading of the multimeter if it read signal then all plugs and wires from central lock control unit to the door central lock unit is okay it this cae you have to replace the door central lock unit with the same if no signal is readed while you lock unlock the door then you have to check central control unit and all wire plus out of it to the door plug

2- you can remove central control unit from driver door and test it in passenger door (usually the same unit ) if it works with lock unlock its then the replaced unit is faulty and needs to be replaced if it not work then check plugs wires from central lock unit (usually found inside driver door ) to the central lock unit in passenger door

3- check signal for said door fro the output of central door unit if no signal then it mean that faulty central lock control unit

1999 Audi A3 1.8T Electric Windows and Central Locking Won't work

will your passenger door open with the key and is it just one side that your windows are not working or both. if its just one side it might be your regulator motor in the door thats not working if its both it might be your central locking pump usually in the boot. however if both of them are working fine it could be that your key needs reprogrammed however i think the 1st 2 are more likely to be the problem.

Locking problem mercedes e320 year 2003

Hi, You need to replace the door lock assembly. They go bad often on these vehicles. The door panel needs to come off to access the assembly. Not very easy to do unless you know what you are doing.

Voltswagon Bora Central locking fault

i had the same problem and i fixed it yesterday. you will have to strip the door down and remove the central locking unit. expect about a 3-4 hour job (at least).
check this site out taligentx.com: Passat - Door Lock Mechanism Repair. its **** hot.
mine had rotted inside, i tried to resolder it but it was to corroded i ended up soldering wires to the circuit board and splicing the into the loom on the door.(bit of a botch but it works great)
you can get a second hand unit if you cant fix it for about £50/£60 or pay a garage about £300 to do it.
believe me it was worth about 4hrs and gettin peed off to save the money.
hope this helps.
emptyed : )
