Need to know where to put stop leak into my radiator

Put some Bar Seal in it and don't worry where from. If you can't see where it is leaking, it may be leaking in the cylinder head. Is your oil okay?

Have you owned the car for a long time?? Could it be possible that someone has put a bottle or can of radiator "stop-leak" in your cooling system... in an effort to stop a leak?? You might consider having your cooling system flushed, and put new anti-freeze in it. BUT, if someone has put stop-leak in the system in the past, your radiator will likely start leaking again as soon as you clean the gunk out the cooling system..

youcan put it straight into resevoir but it would be better to find the leak and repair it ,,. cost you less in repairs in long run

Hi, I've been working on cars for over 40 years and found that all radiator stop leaks are a waste of time and money. Radiators have small cooling lines in front of the cooling fan which need to stay open. Stop leak products stops up radiators, engines and heater coils. If the radiator is not able to remove the heat for the engine, you'll most likely blow a head gasket. Replace the radiator $200.00. You'll have to do it anyway after you blow a head gasket ($1500-2500).

When the motor heats up it is expanding thus stopping the leak. You need to have it checked by someone or put in some radiator dye from your local auto parts store and use a black light to determine where the leak is. Is is not hard to warp a hot engine lacking coolant and then we are talking major work to fix it. You could use some radiator stop leak found at your local auto part store such as a product called BARS LEAK which could cure the problem or make it worse by plugging the flow of coolant.You really need to know where the leak is at and get it fixed.

ur upper hose is located on the upper passenger side of the radiator barrs works alot of the time on small problems in radiator has worked on head gaskets but follow directions carefully can get seriously burnt with anti freeze please be careful and good luck

the stop leak has clogged your heater core. you may be able to flush it out if there is still some flow, otherwise heater core will need to come out.

you should probably drain your radiator and flush it with the hose. You may need to replace the hoses and make sure they are clamped tightly. It wouldn't hurt to put a little stop-leak in the radiator if its a small leak and refill with antifreeze 50/50.

Hi, you 1st have to determine the exact location of the leak, which may involve removal of the radiator to repair anyway. How bad is the leak? How often do u have to add coolant, and how much? If it's a minor leak, you can purchase 'radiator stop leak' from a parts store, that will seal it.
so, try the stop leak if it's a minor leak, you can have it removed and repaired, or purchase a new one. Having said all that, the leak could be a hose leaking, but running down and dripping off the radiator making it look like a radiator leak. With engine warm but not running, use a small mirror to hunt around to see if u can find the source of the leak. Look closely under the radiator hoses, as that could be where the leak is. It would be from the radiator bottom and up, any further back and it wouldn't show up at the bottom of the radiator, so no need to check back any further.
