1998 Volvo S70
- no history of automatic transmission problems
Lately our car has started showing these symptoms:
1) When starting out the car seems to stumble (the feeling is similar to starting out on a slick surface) there is no racing of the engine as in usual transmission slippage
2) When idling the engine seems like it may stall out.
3) The symptoms occur at random and only occasionally.
Car does not display any misfiring of engine and automatic transmission level is ok. Car has approx 150,000 KM.

I have a 2004 Mazda 3 which is @ 150,000km and I'm experiencing gear slippage and when the car is idling the engine sounds like its about to stall and does not. This occurs intermittently and goes away when I turn off the car and start it up immediately thereafter. My powertrain warranty does not cover electrical problems with the transmission what options do I have available to me to resolve this issue.
