Resetting the radio code in a 1998 falcon

Hi, I have removed the battery from my AU falcon and in doing so have lost the use of the radio in the car.

I dont have the manual or code to reset the thing, and I am hoping someone can help me please.

The radio does not ask for the code, we only have the letters ERR on the screen.

The dealer has to send the radio out to their authorized service rep to hve the EPROM in the radio re-flashed with a new code.

These radios have no master key code. They were designed to be very secure.

The code should on a card inside the user manual, if not your ford dealer can find it for you using the model and vin number of your falcon .

Iut just bought a ford au 1999 with a remote but tonight I cannot open the car door..

if genuine au remote.. check the fob battery

could be a faulty door lock actuator or module fault

you will find the free AU falcon repair manual handy

Unfortunately this issue may be problematic as this is an Australian Ford. This database is not accessible to me as I am based in UK and I generally deal with European Fords. However - can you send me all other numbers found on the radio itself and I will establish if I can do anything for you.

turn key to <acc> turn radio will blink err. leave on for at least half hour.err will be replaced by enter code.
