Sounds like a bad clutch to me. Get a new clutch installed and drive easy for the first 500 miles until it breaks in.

2001 ford mustang dies when accelerator is pressed

Start with a timing check, at higher miles the timing chain plastic guides wear and cause multiple misfire and driveability concerns...of course check the obvious, spark plugs, plug wires,c.o.p,fuel pressure..all basics. .ck engine light on?

One ting comes to mind with your description. The throttle position sensor. They are NOT waterproof and if it got wet, it is shot.

2002 ford escape red hot exhaust spudders and rpms drops to almost stall

Carol Ann,
Your catalytic converter is plugged up [restricted] This is causing the exhaust to get red hot and causing the reduction in power. You need to replace this part [$$$} The catalytic converter failed because you have been driving the car for months with the fuel mixture excessively rich.
You need to find and fix the cause of the rich mixture or your replacement catalytic converter will also fail in a few more months.

Got water in gas tank, now will not accelerate, is idling low. Speedomoter and RPMs not working. Engine revs up to 3 RPMs when going about 40 and seems to ge stuck there. Says doing 40 but feels like I'm...

It almost sounds like an electronic problem (i.e. ECU). I don't think it would be a fuse because you wouldn't have anything at all. Sometimes when the instrument cluster starts to act up, you'll get a lot of problems with the engine running. In this situation, I would get the car checked out from a Ford dealer before things get worse.
