86 dodge Aries with 24 error code. Changed the tsp but still has the code and the power loss light came on again. Also has code 52(new) Car seems to go through a fair amount of gas, but that may be the model as the car is new to me. Help

Did you check the computer for trouble codes then clear them after the problem was fixed ?

I am currently working on the same car, the one im working on is a K though (wagon), but same engine. What I found the issue to be is a bad fuel line.

My Chilton book doesn't have a lot on vehicle specific emission controls. What I did find is this. Apparently the "loss if power light" will turn on if the temp sensor wire has been removed and then reattached. Have you recently done work at the thermostat? The temp sensor is mounted on the thermostat housing. To turn the "loss of power light" off, disconnect the positive battery terminal and then re-attach it. No waiting. Start the engine and then shut it off. After that turn the key ON and OFF several times to clear any fault codes in the computer. This may help because stored codes make the computer think the problem still exists and it reacts accordingly. Hope this helps.

check the plug for moisture on the throttlebody, blow it out with compressed air and make sure it is dry. plug in and try. On GM cars it says reduced engine speed

Mess with the TPS( Code 24)
The center wire, is the sensor wire or output back to the computer.
One of the two outside wires,is 5 volts coming to the sensor, and the other goes on and on to other sensors.
If you probe one outer wire at a time with red lead of a VOM and black to any metal (ground) you will find one with 5 volts. Leave your probe on it and move the blk to the center sensor wire.
Move the throttle and see if you have 1volt closed,close to 5v open.
May end up putting in a new sensor. 19 years old.
No issues with what you did so far,wires,etc.

look at all wiring, weather can make the skin of a wire become brittle, 2 or more wires can be touching one another

The codes can be pulled from this car by turning the key to off on off on off on then on the forth time leave the key in the on position and observe the check engine light it will blink in two number codes for example 3 blinks then a pause and 2 more blinks would mean code #32.
