1994 ACURA LEGEND RADIO CODE

I have found a few options on the Acura forums

1. Pull out ashtray and check on back for a 5 digit code on a sticker there

2. Check for a 5 digit code on the fuse panel cover

3. go sign up at myacura.com and enter your VIN # and your radio serial # and it will give you the correct code for your car.


if you do not have the serial number for your radio handy you can find it by removing the non-use "button" between the fog light and rear-window defroster buttons. You can pop that off with a small screwdriver. Then you can read the S/N off the bottom of the radio with a flashlight

You will need the serial number from the radio. An Acura dealer can cross check the number on the radio and give you this code. I have personally had to do this on several occassions. Find a local dealer, Ask for someone in the parts department. They are usually very helpful if you explain your situation to them.. Best of Luck..

The security code should be in your owners manual. If you do not have the original owners manual, Take radio out & write the model and/or serial # listed on it & call up any Acura dealership & they will give you the security code for that specific radio. Go buy a Chilton manual at Autozone, Advance Autos, or O'rielly's for the directions on how to remove & install the radio.

If you have your owners manual look inside for the security code for the radio. You will need to punch that code into your radio to make it work. If you cannot find your code you will need to remove the radio and have the serial number ready. Then, call your local Acura dealer and they should be able to give you a code. Usually it entails a small cost to you.

I just bought my 3rd Acura Legend...but never encountered this problem. They removed my battery to place in another vehicle on the lot...and when they replaced my battery, the radio locked up and would not do anything. I called the Acura dealership in my area....have an appt for Monday, she said $51.00 to get code. I was reading on all the websites i could find about Acura radio codes...then i come accross one posting about an Acura Integra. It said her code was under her ashtray. I went out to my car...pulled my ashtray out. There was a white sticker with a 5 digit number first, and then an E number. I turned my radio on, entered 5 digit number...it BEEPED. I turned it off, and turned it back on...to the most WONDERFUL BOSE stereo system!! It worked ya'll!! I was so shocked!! It may not help everybody....but my Acura Legend 4Dr Sedan has MUSIC now!! So i thought i would pass it along...saved me FIFTY dollars!!

easiest way to get the code for the car is to call the dealer if it not in the owners manual.

The code was printed on two cards that came with the owners manual. If you don't have them than take the car to an Acura dealer. They can give you the code as long as they see the radio in the car.

contact Acura Dealer and give VIN- I had a bose premium system san scenario ( STOCK) and my code 5 digits (may be universal)

the car has factory amp. that sounds like its you problem.
