My son parked his car (2.7 cabriolet) here a month ago. It had a flat battery so put it on charge (without disconnecting battery). The indicator lights started flashing when charging. Eventually locked unlocked the car ok. Once charged I tried the small key to deactivate the immobiliser only to find the lights start flashing every time I put on the ignition. Attempt to turn engine does nothing other than indicator lights flash. Battery checked and is at 13.2v. I think the flat battery has caused the engine immobiliser to be enabled and although key seems to turn the led from flashing to constant it will not allow engine start. I wonder does it have to be reset?

Find where your fuel pump relay is and check for power there. Most alarm tech's and alarm system dis engages the fuel pump at there relay's.
Simple things to check is the fuse first then go for the relay and if everything there is working properly, it could be your alarm may have gone bad or your fuel pump it self.
Good luck and hope this helps

I have the same problem. Short term answer for me is to disconnect battery for 30 seconds and then the car will start. I have the infamous dashpod problem and the keys and eveything are coded into the dashpod so I'm hoping when I get mne replaced the immobilser problem will go to,at least the guys who work on my car reckon so.
With the regular need to disconnect he battery I leave the three screws for the battery cover finger tight and the battery contact loose enough to wriggle off. I can do it start to finish in a couple of minutes but is a mjor pain still.
