hi check battery and altenator,,,valtage

vehicle speed sensor at transmission or bad wires/loose connector

u got bad coil

When you sit in the drivers seat and look forward its right behind the steering wheel. Next to the rev counter.

I suggest you buy a repair manual if you love your Trooper and plan on keeping it!

It's pretty steep @ $120 but I couldn't find any (zero,zip) manuals for the Isuzu Trooper except this one and it's used. I'm guessing you have what will be a classic someday!
Removing the dash is a complicated process with a lot of parts, hidden screws under plastic covers, and a lot of wires you don't want to short out!

I have a Mercedes S-500 and the Cluster Light on my dashboard went out? As you can Imagine I could not see my Speedometer or Rev counter or anything at all. I had no option but to take it to the Mercedes garage In Edinburgh where the fitted a new Cluster Panel complete. It seems now to work fine however at a costly price. Yours Sincerely
