Awhile ago the gas gage started to to bounce all over the place. Now it works ok until just below a half tank. It spikes to full, then drops and bounces all over the place. It also started to just die on me either at an idle or even while driving. Once it dies, it may start right up or sometimes I had to wait up to 30 minutes. Also I drive somewhere and turnit off, same, sometimes starts sometimes take 30 minutes. It seems to not get gas as the battery and alternator are fine. Any help?

If your mileage has dropped to half, I would be worried about what is wrong with the car. Chances are it is running very rich and using way more fuel than it should.
Your problem, as to my knowledge, seems to be more of a ground issue, or power supply issue. Check the grounds throughout your vehicle, including the ground for the fuel pump.
mcdevito75 here, Hello john, the sending unit in the gas tank could be faulty of stuck, try leaning against one of the back fenders to move the body of the car from side to side to try to free up the sending unit. You may have to live with it unless yoyur local shop changes the sending unit in the gas tank.
You are probably looking at dropping the fuel tank down and removing the float and sending unit ( all in one unit). Once it's taken apart, you may see that you can fix it or you may have to replace it.
to coorrect this u will need to pull the gas tank and replace the fuel gage sending unit inside the gas tank, hwerwe is the part number for the fuel module which has the seding unit in it.
