random misfires are from injector and low fuel pressure problems

Wouldn't both you & your mechanic only need to know
that it runs hot & losses coolant,to almost suspect a bad
head gasket ,out of the gate & then do the correct testing?

Looses Coolant
Can't find leak-has to go somewhere
Misfires-effecting cylinder performance

What about a combustion leak test ?
Does system hold pressure?
Is water pump leaking or not pumping?
Where Manufacture Bulletins checked?
Misfires from what?

Replace the plug wires and retest, that should fix it.

WHAT SIZE ENGINE?
If it is 5.4 you need to buy one coil for each cyl. I just buy one and move it till miss goes away!

you have a severe missfire thats why the light is blinking
the smoke and sound were the cat converter[s] glowing red hot from the missfire
dont drive it untill the missfire is fixed or youll ruin the cats[if not already] plus a good chance of fire exists

do you have a seperate coil for each spark plug check ur coil for number 6 or fuel injector

Sounds like the Catalytic converter needs to be looked at or replaced.

I would start with a full tune up. If it has never been done then that is the best way to start. Make sure that you gap your plugs. NGK plugs are the best for any and all Honda's. Let us know how it goes.

I HOPE THIS IS OF SOME HELP TRY CLEARING THE CODES AND SEE IF THEY RE APEAR
