Rear acceleration noise

I went to Meineke for what I thought was a muffler problem, as an acceleration noise would occur sounding inside the rear of the car each time I accelerate. They told me that I needed a new engine pipe and catalytic converters. The repair was done, but I am still hearing the noise when I accelerate. It is so loud that one cannot hear someone speak when inside the car. This noise occurs only when I accelerate. What is the problem?

Try rear wheel bearings. The cause a roaring noise that increases with acceleration. Sounds very similar to loud road noise.

Vibration occurs in the rear sometimes when the gas is depressed

Check for the alignment of your muffler. As you depress thye accelerator the engine tilts and so does the muffler.

Loud banging noise frome rear of car under normal acceleration and even worse accelerating during a left turn. makes the car jolt pretty good. 2000 mustang gt

Were the rear muffler tailpipe hangers checked for being broken or missing? even Engine mounts will cause this and because it does making a left turn you would want to check out the right rear one especially and of course if needed replace all of them...also meaning the hangers for the exhaust system..

Noise coming from rear

probably a rear wheel bearing, jack up car and block it up, grap each wheel and shake firmly if a wheel wiggles
the wheel bearing is worn out.

How does it "sound like it's going bad"? It's aftermarket, and it isn't the same as OEM. It won't sound the same either. That doesn't mean it's bad. They might have left a gasket loose, making an unusual and loud sound.
