You never know, but most of the time the reading on the odometer will stay with the dash you are installing, your old dash reading will not show on the new dash odometer.

Probably a bulb not a fuse. If it was a fuse your entire dash would be dark. You can get repair manual at any good parts store or order from Amazon.com (they have a ton of good ones)
Check under the hood and look at the fuses. The fuse box is located on the passenger side above the battery. If the fuses test good, reseat the fuses. I hope this helps.
Yes, it could be a loose wire, but more likely, if no fuses are blown and the rest of the dash panel is lit, it is a bulb inside the dashboard/odometer. Most of the digital dashes I have seen are lit through the clear plastic housing behind the matte finished masks. This is not exactly an easy fix, but it can be done.
you need to take the dash top off, remove the instrument panel, and check the bulbs in or behind it, to see if any of them are blown. It may save you a lot of work chasing down a loose/shorting wire.
No bulbs on an 01. Odometer is digital readout. I pulled my cluster and jiggled the plug at the top of the cluster. I had to pull out the blue keeper on the plug (and broke it) to loosen the plug. It is hard to remove. The odometer came back on but went off when I replaced the cluster. I finally got it to stay on (pushed the bottom of the cluster) but it went out a few days later. I checked the wiring from the tranny to the fuse block. It was rubbing on the steering shaft but no broken wires. Check IGN1 fuse on fuse block in left side of dash. Another tip said change the main batteries if they are swollen (mine is). Dealer said the cluster goes bad sometimes - $250 to replace. Could be a loose solder joint on bottom of cluster where the odometer is. Cluster may be hard to disassemble.
