Losing power going up hills

sounds pretty normal. what speed do you try out the passing gear? anything above 35-45 mph and it will feel like neutral. Passing gear is actually only 1st gear. When you press down the pedal, it forces the transmisson to shift into low gear.

My 99 jimmy with a 4L60E, on a downshift (kickdown) at highway speed or any speed really when downshift by pressing down the accelarator or downshifting by hand the tansmission feels like it's in neutral,...

First off there may be nothing wrong. At highway speed, the trans will shift down to 1st, but you won't feel it. If should feel like neutral. Does it shift normally when your "wide open throttle" from standstill? If it shifts properly in this situation, then your fine, don't worry. How about wide open throttle at say 25mph? how about 35 and 45? anything over that and its gonna feel like neutral. IF your convinced that your passing gear is not working right, it could mean that its out of adjustment, and needs a little more push, more throw, or kinda like adjusting the rod out a little bit further. Adjust your "passing gear linkage" or kickdown as you imply. Second guess would be low on transmisison fluid, filter, and last, the transmissoin control selonoid. Again I suggest its doing just fine, if it shifts down at any speed.

My transmission is slipping

The clutch lining worn out n the lining powder stuck on the transmission filter so transmission fluid pass through the filter clogged.. Only way is to repair the transmission or replace the whole transmission.

Popular problems with the Lumina and the corsica, let me describe you problem just when you start out after it sat for awhile you step on the brake a the rear brakes suddenly grab and what happens the whole rear end dips. the drive a little more and it brakes normal.,Why the ABS light uneven brake condition or road condition or even tire condition set this off. The type of brake shoe brand has alot to due with this to and there a porpotioning valve for this. dealer sell these its worth it or just get used to back bottom out and be gentle as you brake the car. There not a real cure.

I have a 01 2.2 s10 had to replace o2 sensers light whent off but wont reset so i can pass emissions

It might take as long as two weeks to come back on. The onboard computer has to run diagnostics that include a preset number of manuvers. Just drive it as you normally would and in a little while the check engine light will probably come back on, unless you got it fixed and in that case you may not know when it resets.

Automatic transmission shifting problems

20 year old vacuum hoses are done. Replace all you can. The little plastic ones too. They control everything, transmission, computer, fuel, brakes, everything.
