Sounds like a bad waterpump. Waterpumps have a "weep" hole built into them - it's an early warning system so you can spot a leak before bearing locks up and does major $$$ damage. With age and suspected mileage (and if you plan on keeping car for awhile, I'd replace the following:
Waterpump, thermostat, radiator cap and flush & fill system with new coolant.
My reasoning is: if you replace only one part the others are bound to go bad shortly after and you'll be investing time, labor and $ in anti-freeze (coolant) multiple times. Do it once and be done with it.

It could be a number of problems. If coolant is not leaking from the radiator or bad hose the water pump is the most likely culprit. There is a weephole that the water can leak out of and the only way to repair it is to replace the water pump. Good luck

I have a huge puddle of anitfreeze under the car but the car is not overheating..no while smoke coming out..any suggestions?

Could be leaking from the overflow bottle.

Check the level in the radiator, if its low and no lights or anything are on I wonder if the gauges or low coolant light are even working. Not much else I can suggest other than to get under the car and see where its dripping from.

My car is overheating only when i am driving and going threw anti freeze like crazy.

Obviously you have a coolant leak. You should be able to look under the car and see where something is dripping. Anitfreeze is typically green in color to make it easy to identify. Once you find where it is leaking, there are a variety of repair possibilities a lot of times hoses will soften up over the years and fail. There are a number of hoses and connections, you will have to check them all. and replace as necessary.

Overheating Problem

There are a lot of places it could be leaking from,it could be a head gasget, freeze plug, intake gasget, ect. best thing to do is pressureise the cooling system and look for a leak, and watch the pressure guage on tester. Do you have the right radiator cap? or at least the right # cap. That is something thats over looked a lot, and they go bad too.

Sounds like the heater core (a small radiator of sorts under the dash) is leaking or a hose going to it is leaking. If in a warm climate, you could bypass or block the heater hoses temporarily. Their only purpose is to make heat avail to interior of car. The 2 heater hoses either connect to feedthru's at the firewall or simply pass thru the firewall to the heater core. Every car I've seen has it on passenger side.

Peer up under the dash, it should be clear where it's coming from.
