The most common problem brake switch, NO BRAKE LIGHTS, NO SHIFT.
the other possibilities interlock shift solenoid, that is the one that the brake switch has to activate so you can move your shifter.

First let somebody tell you is you have brake lights, if don't then replace brake switch. If you do then listen for a click inside the center console by the shifter. no click then you need the solenoid.

By the meantime remove the little square window by the shifter and stick a pen or little screw driver push the button that is inside that would allow you to shift.

I have a toyota corolla dx 1994 1.6 engine, my automatic shifter is stuck in park and will not move everything else on my car seems to be working properly. What's the reason this might be going on and...

On the 1994 Toyota Corolla, there is an override switch, which is located above the gear shift under a plastic tab. ( You need something like a key or screwdriver to depress it), It will get you out of park and allow you to drive. I'm guessing however that the "brake light service switch" is the problem and needs to be fixed, so having got it moving, I would suggest you drive it to your dealer to get it examined

1994 Corolla shift lever stuck in park and no brake lights

The brake switch on brake pedal is bad. Tells transmission brake is depressed so it will come out of park. Also controls brake lights. It's a plunger type switch that just has a little pin that when extended completes a circuit and allows brake lights to come on. Shouldn't be hard to replace just might be aggravating to get to.

My car runs , but she won't come out of park. & no brake lights come on.

Sounds like a bad BOO swith brake on brake off. You have to have your foot on the brake to shift the transmission out of park but with no signal from this switch it won't come out of gear and it also turns the brake lights on

Toyota corola not shifting, out of park.

This may be caused by the failure of the Relay or Circuit that powers the Safety switch, or Failure of the Brake Light circuit Fuse/Relay, which releases the Shifter.
Look in the Power distribution and Fuse Box.

Back brake lights do not shut off. Plenty of brake fluid. Could the calipher be stuck, not releasing once brake let off of? 1996 Toyote Corolla.

Right at the brake pedal there is a brake light switch that can stuck in the closed position keeping the brake lights on. One way to test it is by removing one of the wires to it, if the light shuts, must be replaced.
