My 95 honda accord V6 leaks oil ( lots ) . only while engine running, looks like its coming from between engine block and oil filter mounting plate just behind front crank pulley, I think its front main seal?

Hard to say unless you specify what vehicle this is. One way or another, you need to get to where the leak is in order to find the problem. In any case, start by checking the oil filter, and if it is not engine-mounted, check the hoses running between the filter housing and the engine.
Oh, one should make sure that the old rubber gasket didn't get stuck on the engine block where the filter is. Sometimes, people change their own oil and don't look at the old filter they took off, to see if the gasket came off and stuck to the engine block.
In that case, the new filter has a gasket, and the old gasket is stuck to the block, and you have two gaskets stuck together, which will leak.
oil filter screws onto an adapter housing which also has the pressure sending unit on it (above oil filter). This adapter housing bolts to the block with 3 bolts. if oil appears to be leaking from where the adapter housing meets the block (especially at the rear side of engine near bottom), then you need to replace the siamese o-rings between the adapter housing and the block ($12 part at dealer). remove lowest 12mm bolt and loosen top 2 12 mm bolts(top 2 bolts won't come out unless you drop the engine down, but loosening 1 inch is all you need), replace o-rings and retighten bolts. be careful not to get dirt/grit between block and adapter. just finished doing this to son's 95 2.7 v6 which was leaving an 8" puddle of oil after idling for only 1 minute-worked perfect
it does have an O ring buts its irregularly shaped. it is usually held on by 3 bolts(mine was). and the top most bolt was very close to my oil pressure sensor....(had to take it out to avoid breaking it) i needed a very short ratchet wrench and get it out. Make sure you get the ring from a Honda Dealership if you can.(i have bad luck with aftermarket parts on my Hondas).The reason why mine was spraying is because the baseplate was actually cracked. so i also had to buy a new one ( yes they have them too) O-ring 12.00 bucks baseplate was 39.00 bucks for me, might be a bit more for yours since your Honda is a little newer (mine was an 89 accord) oil filter baseplate or mountplate are some terms (so you were right on) hope this helps.
The starter is located underneath the vehicle. It is pretty easy to get to. It runs parallel to the oil pan and is mounted to the block or tranny. Remove 2-3 bolts that hold it down and remove wires. Put in the new one, reattach the wires and you are done.
Check the threads on the new sender/switch. They should be slightly tapered. Some of the less expensive replacement parts have straight threads, try a new part from the Honda dealer. The grey/white stuff is teflon type pipe sealant, this is the correct material to use on the sender threads. Clean the threads in the block very well first.
