Disrupting the power supply triggers the antitheft system, and even though everything is back the way it should be, one the system is triggered there's no way to undo it. The only option vehicle owners have had for a long time is to take it to a dealership where they will have to replace the module, or sensor, replace the ignition switch and key. The average cost for these three parts plus labor is $1,000.00+. There is san alternative fix that is considerably cheaper.
