Is the anti-theft dash light on and steady red? Ford PATS is complex and you may need a mobile auto-electrician or mobile auto locksmith / alarm installer.
Insert the key into the driver's side door lock.
Turn the key once, but not all the way to unlock the door. Leave the key in this position for 40-60 seconds. ...
Do this again, but turn the key in the opposite direction.
Remove the key from the door, get into your Ford, and start the engine. The system should be reset.
Try disconnecting the battery for five minutes to reset the computer. You might want to write down your radio station settings. Some radios retain memory and some don't.
it might be the cam or crank sensor. they control fuel and timing. take it to autozone to get a free scan. this is an obd2 system do not jump wires....... good luck
