I have a 2007 Nissan Altima 4cyl 2.5l. When i am going down the road it will start shackin real bad and then the check engine light will come on. After a few minutes it might quit and then start right back. Sometimes it does it often and sometimes its awhile for it does it again. When it shackes it also will bogg down kinda like its running out of gas.

there is currently a recall being performed on altimas and there is also a updated crank position sensor check with your dealer for open recalls on your vehicle (its just a phone call away have your vin # ready (located on left bottom of windshield if your facing it from in front of vehicle it is on lower right side of windshield - also look on driver door jamb.

My service engine soon light came on saturday on my 2003 nissan altima 2.5s, took it to the dealer and he stated I need a Catalytic Converter for the light to go off. Last yr Jan I had the same thing happen and there was a recall on the ECM they reset it for free. Any suggestions? I am so tired of getting ripped off being a single woman. The repair price they gave me was $940, my mechanic says he can repair w/new converter total charge of $300

Ther e is a chance your injectors are leakin g down and there is excess fuel in the cylinders. Not a good thing. So, you fuel pressure and injectors need chkg. good luck
