MY 2006 BUICK RENDEZVOUS WILL NOT START MOST OF THE TIME UNLESS GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED.

The one's I have dealt with if rear wheel drive on side of transmission with rods or cables to it. Front wheel drive on top of transmission with rods or cables run to it.

You do not need to bleed the lines, just hold the gas pedal to the floor while you crank the engine and it will self bleed.

At best there is 1 gallon or so left. So get has a.s.a.p. it is not good to run any GM vehicle under 1/4 tank as the fuel actually helps cool the fuel pump. Constantly running it to empty will shorten the life span of the fuel pumo

How do you know it doesn't work? Are you sure you understand the operation of the system? It is passive nothing happens unless someone opens a door without a key like breaking windows or they try to start the car with wrong key.

Sounds like the neutral safety switch has gone bad. These are on almost every kind of vehicle now. The switch prevents the car from starting unless the automatic transmission is in park or neutral. For a manual transmission, the clutch pedal has to be depressed. On a motorcycle, the clutch handle has to be depressed. You can pick up the switch at any parts store near you and replace it yourself if you are mechanically inclined. If not, I'm sure a tech or dealership will be glad to help you with the problem.

Shift solenoids are in fact located inside transmissions. SHIFTER solenoids are located under the dash and are connected to the brake switch to enable you to change gearshift positions when the brake pedal is depressed.
