04-08 Pontiac Grand Prix - Blower Motor Resistor ReplacementPart 1 ..... Loosen, but do not remove the two frontward screws, then remove the single rearward .... you should have a burnt connector (wire plug) at the blower motor resistor or a bad blower motor (or bad resistor) you should be able to discern which is bad by inspecting them closely.
sounds like the blow motor resistor it should be located somewere near the blower maybe. under passenger side dash.....it will be a wide plastic plug with about 4 or 5 wires..
Yes, it probably is the blower motor. They also tend to burn the connector that goes to the blower motor when this happens the way you described it happened. You may have to replace both to fix it correctly.
Sounds like the blower motor is seized if you here a click it is most likely the relay. you can remove the lower panel on the passenger side and tap on the blower motor with the key and the blower switch on it may start working again
I would suggest replacing the blower motor resistor. When this component fails the blower will only work on one spped or none. This is a very common issue with all automotive models
